Tree valuation

The tree valuation scale allows for an objective assessment of its heritage value. It takes into account: species, dimensions, health status, landscape and ecological value, as well as the tree's place in its environment.

This assessment is based on the’health examination of the tree, essential for the application of the scale. It constitutes a decision-making tool: development projects, work near trees, damage to tree stock, choice between conservation and slaughter, or definition of compensatory measures.

The value of the tree is integrated into The Arboricultural Matrix® : it informs management decisions and makes it possible to justify, where appropriate, compensation or the assessment of damages.
