The Arboricole® Matrix structures our expert approach by combining the different criteria observed, from the diagnosis of the tree to the assessment of the risk, to the definition of recommendations and the monitoring of its evolution.
«QTRA — Quantitative assessment of arboreal risk»
Each assessment begins with a thorough observation of the tree and its environment: its health, biomechanical analysis using the VTA method, and site constraints. If necessary, additional measurements are taken to determine the internal condition of the wood. You will receive an objective, well-reasoned, and documented opinion.
The observed defects are assessed using the QTRA method: probability of failure, presence of people or property, severity of consequences. The risk is quantified, not estimated "by sight." This allows you to make informed decisions and justify your choices.
Following the assessment, we propose the most appropriate measures based on the tree's condition and the site's challenges: monitoring, follow-up, pruning, bracing, or, as a last resort, felling. Our priority is to preserve the tree whenever safety permits.
Our recommendations are established independently of any work service: you are free to have the work carried out by the company of your choice.
Monitoring allows you to observe the evolution of trees over time. Each tree is mapped, and its periodic checks are recorded in our application: the history is centralized, and recommendations are adjusted to the development of each tree. You maintain a clear view of your tree stock, year after year.
Before any compensation measures are implemented, we assess the tree's heritage value using a recognized scale. This assessment takes into account the species, dimensions, health, landscape value, location, and ecological functions of the tree. It allows us to justify compensation, inform management decisions, and, where applicable, estimate any damages.
